Diana L. Burkholder, 71 of Lima, passed away August 8, 2022, at 11:00 PM, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home, with her daughter by her side.

Diana was born June 14, 1951, in Lima to Jackson “Jack” and Glenna (Christian) McCarty, who preceded her in death. On October 20, 1968, she married Bruce L. Burkholder, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2012.

Diana attended Bath High School and was a homemaker. She and her husband were members of the Corvette Club and they loved to vacation together. Diana was a Gold Star Family Member and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Kimberly S. (Jordan Alkire) Kiser, grandchildren, Hannah, Alyvia and Destini Rae; sister, Linda (Larry) Young; daughter-in-law, Amanda Burkholder and many nieces and nephews

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Staff Sergeant Jason Evan Burkholder; brother, Bobby McCarty; sister, Debra McCarty and her step-father, Max Shockency.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 15, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Rev. Rich Rakay to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
