Dewey M. Bennett, age 90 of Cridersville and formerly of Morgan County, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, on February 19, 2023, at 1:42 pm, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH.

Dewey was born July 3, 1932 in Sandstone, WV, his parents were Cecil and Lena (Cales) Bennett who preceded him in death. On August 4, 1954, he married Ocie Marie (Vass) Bennett who survives.

He was an avid reader and loved watching sports, especially the Buckeyes. He traveled the world serving in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. Upon his retirement, he worked 20 years for Borden as a safety manager, ultimately spending his retirement in Morgan County, OH on the banks of the Muskingum River.

Survivors include their daughters: Deanna White, Lisa (Phillip) Lindemann, Rebecca Keske and Sherri Bennett; grandchildren: Brooke (Vahid Areti) White, Ashley (Kyle) Lilly, Brad (Katrina) Stallings, Matthew (Ashley) Keske, Jonathan (Stephanie) Keske and Rachel (Evan) Skilliter; great-grandchildren: Bennett Keske, Lakin Keske, Lena Skilliter, Harper Stallings and Jacob Keske. Also surviving is a close family friend, Ana Rivera.
