Dennis G. Mault, 77, of Elida, passed away at 1:48 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born March, 7, 1945 in Lima to Virginia Osborn and Russel Boutwell, who both preceded him in death. He was raised by his step-father, Charles Mault, who also preceded him in death. On May 1, 1965, her married Connie Kepfer, who survives in Elida.
Denny proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 in the 189th M.P. in Germany. He worked at BLH-Clark Equipment, General Dynamics and Rockwell-Meritor as a machinist. He was a member of the Lima Eagle’s Aerie 370, the American Legion Post 96 and was a 1964 graduate of Lima Senior High School.
He liked auto racing, golfing, Buckeye football, Minnesota Vikings football and his 1970 Red SS Camero.
Surviving in addition to his wife Connie Mault of Elida are his daughter Tracy Smith of Lima; his grandson Adam Smith of Spencerville; his granddaughter Isabel Mault of Elida; his brothers Mark (Kathy), Elvis (Theresa) and Brad (Lisa) Mault; his daughter-in-law Carla Mault; his sister-in-law Cheryl Mault. Also surviving are numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Edward Mault; his brothers Greg and David Mault; his son-in-law Brad Smith.
The family will received friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Dalton Mault, Denny’s nephew will officiate the services.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the service, where active duty members of the US Army and VFW Post 1275 will hold military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to WBGU T.V. or the Lima Men’s Rescue Mission.
