Deborah Kay Suggs , 69 of Lima, passed away June 7, 2022, at 2:49 p.m. at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1953 in Mt. Vernon , OH, to William and Christiene (Garner) Hickerson. Her mother preceded her in death and her father survives in Springfield, OH. On August. 17, 1974 she married Lawrence Alan Suggs who survives.

Also surviving are their children: Christopher (Stacey) Suggs of Lima and Kara (Matt) Miller of Macomb, MI; six grandchildren: Aubree and Mia Suggs, Brynn, Derek, Gavin and Ryder Miller; and the following siblings: Peggy Hickerson of Huntsville, AL, Dr. Timothy (Donna) Hickerson and Terry Hickerson both of Springfield, OH.

Deborah was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN. She taught in many area schools including, Lima City, Bath and Shawnee. She was involved in the P.T.A. and a member of the A.A.U.W. She was a former member of East Elm Street Church of Christ and a current member of the Church of Christ of Auglaize County. In her younger days she enjoyed crocheting and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football.

A private family memorial service will be at a later date.
