Deborah Jean Cook, age 61 of Lima, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. at her residence.

Deborah was born Sept. 16, 1960 in Chicago, IL, to Charles J and Bertha Ellen (Workman) Cook who both survive in Toledo.

Also surviving are her children: Matthew Harrison (Shalyn Nicole) Chester of Findlay, Melissa Ellen Chester of Cleveland, Heather Leah (Gilbert Allen Campbell) Veres of Wapakoneta and Reanna Kaelyn Veres of Poland, OH; grandchildren: Christopher Michael Grier, Jr., Mason James Grier, Jordan Mae Chester, Melody Arisa Skye Fritz and Simon Harrison Chester; and the following brothers: Michael Charles Cook, Timothy Leonard Cook and Steven Eugene Cook all of Toledo.

She is preceded in death by her sister Arica Ellen Cook, sister-in-law Elizabeth Carole Cook, niece Danielle Elizabeth Cook and nephew Scott Allen Cook.

Deborah loved to work out in her garden. She loved crafting, collecting antiques, and traveling. Most of all, she loved her family. She attended the Upper Room in Columbiana, and CedarCreek Church in Perrysburg. She had been a caretaker for the elderly over the years.

Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services with Chaplain Herb Wilker officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
