Dean Thomas Peters, 58 of Elida, entered into a glorious eternity on October 14, 2021, at 3:12 pm, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Dean was born February 19, 1963 in Euclid, OH, to Dean and Kathleen (Whitely) Peters; his father preceded him in death and his mother survives him in Lima. On April 26, 1986, he married Terrye (Keller) Peters, who survives him in Elida.

Dean was a 1981 graduate of Lima Senior High School and went on to study maintenance at Wright State University. He worked at American Trim since 1989, working many positions and finishing his career as a Master Maintenance employee. Dean was a wonderful glass etching artist, an avid Mopar and Harley Davidson enthusiast and he loved spending his time remodeling and working on his house. He was a major advocate for homeless animals and he loved music, God and Country. Dean had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very hard worker. Most of all, Dean enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Jason (Jenessa) Peters; sister, Patricia Ann (John) Woods; brother, David (Mindy) Peters; sister-in-law, Tina Peters and his dogs, Taz and Onyx.

In addition to his father, Dean is preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas M. Peters and Daniel Patrick Peters.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Rev. William Turner to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn – Elida Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to any veteran’s organization or homeless animal organization of the donor’s choice.
