Carlene and family. I fondly remember Judge Kinworthy taking the time and having the patience to mentor me as a young new Probate-Juvenile Judge. We served adjoining counties for over 20 years together and he was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance as he often had encountered the issue I was facing. We have moved to Florida so I cannot be present for the visitation or funeral but Judge Kinworthy was a great Judge and friend. Judge Rex Fortney Retired Van Wert County Judge

Carlene I am so sorry for your loss. David was a wonderful man. I remember when he was an insurance adjuster back in 1955. May God Bless

During breaks in a trial, Dave would say in a stern voice, "Novak, in chambers!" Then we would smoke cigarettes and talk about our families. Early in my career I used to drink bourbon and play poker with Dave. He was a kind judge and a loving man.

Very sad to hear this. Judge Kinworthy presided over our adoption hearing. He was a very kind but persuasive man when he overturned my ruling of "no candy" and insisted he be the one to give my 6 month old son a blueberry sucker. Lol. Jon loves blueberry to this day. I'm sure we're not the only lives he has deeply impacted. We need more people like him, passionate about making children's lives better.
