David “Dave” F. Herrera, 63, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022, at 7:37 am, at his residence.
Dave was born December 31, 1958 in Lima, OH, to Felix and Josefina (Garcia) Herrera who both survive in Lima, OH. On July 8, 1983 he married LuAnn Snyder Herrera who preceded him in death on September 19, 2018.
Dave graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1977. He worked at Lima Bargain Center / Ace Hardware Shawnee for over forty years. Dave was an avid pet owner and loved taking care of his two beloved dogs, Heidi and Moe. A little known fact about Dave was he was a big time Nike guy. He was also a loyal Cleveland Browns fan. Dave was a very family oriented man and cherished his parents and loved all of his siblings, nieces and nephews dearly.
Dave is survived by his parents, Felix and Josefina (Garcia) Herrera of Lima, OH, siblings, Estella Herrera of Lima, OH, Maria “Teri” Crow of Lima, OH, Daniel “Chico” Herrera of Lima, OH, Tomas (Debbie) Herrera of Lima, OH, Anita (Mark) Collins of Dayton, OH, Robert “Bob” (Barb) Herrera of Lima, OH, nieces and nephews, Michael Crites of Lima, OH, Monica (Eric) Hurless of Dayton, OH, Joshua Crow of Lima, OH, Nicholas Crow of Clarksville, TN, Brenna Herrera of Dayton, OH, Charity Herrera of Lima, OH, great-nieces and nephews, Xander, Andrew, Rayna, and close companion, Della Rhodes of Lima, OH.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 4:00pm at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Pastor Dennis Ward to officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
