Corrine “Connie” Lucke, 92, of Lima passed away at 4:41 AM on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Liberty Retirement Community of Lima.

She was born on April 8, 1929 in Lima to Purril and Gladys (Thompson) Riegel, who both preceded her in death.

Connie was a sales clerk for Kirlin’s Hallmark Store for over 10 years and had worked in the mother’s and children’s sections at various area stores. Connie was a member of the Church at Allentown. She was a member of the Allentown Ladies Aide Society and sang in the Tune Dusters. She loved reading and sharing what she read with others. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons Richard (Karen) Lucke of Elida and Daniel (Jill) Lucke of Lima; her daughters Carleen (George) Short of Harrison, MI and Jacquelyn Lucke-Bradley of Lima; her grandchildren Daniel Short, Kyle (Deanna) Lucke, Alek Lucke, McCormick Lucke, Carrigan Lucke and Jillian Lucke, Jennifer (Nick) Cantrell and Derek George; her seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Wanda Wade and her brother Hal Riegel.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church on Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at The Church at Allentown, 4900 Allentown Road, Elida with Pastor Neal Whitney, officiating.

Interment will immediately follow the service in Allentown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Silver Birch Foundation through the Area Agency On Aging 3.
