Christopher Lee Kerby, 46 Lima, passed away April 28, 2022, at his residence.

Christopher was born August 25, 1975 in Toledo, to John Mallory and Dreama (Kerby) Smith; his father preceded him in death and his mother survives him in Elkhart, IN.

He was a 1994 graduate of Lima Senior High School and worked at Walmart on Harding Highway. Christopher was a member of Pilgrim Lighthouse Church and enjoyed singing karaoke. He was a movie buff and he loved cooking on the grill; he was a great cook. Christopher was an avid Michigan fan, enjoyed fishing, watching parades and going to the casino. He had a great sense of humor and he didn’t have a mean bone in his body. Christopher will be remembered and deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his mother, Christopher is survived by his children, Ashlie Kerby and Jonah Kerby; step-father, David Smith; aunts, Dawn Kerby, Denise (Steve) Dodson and Robin (Carl) Kerby-Rust; uncle, Edmond (Sarah Rex) Kerby and many cousins and dear friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor John Yohe to officiate the service.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
