Cheryl Elaine Hunter, 77, went to meet The Only Savior, her Lord Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

She was born September 23, 1944 to Hazel M. (Rader) & Milton A. Hunter of Waynesfield, OH. She was the 8th of 9 daughters…. aka The Hunter Girls.

Elaine was a 1962 Crazy Tiger graduate of Waynesfield Goshen High School. She retired from Ford Motor Company, where assignments included Lima Engine Plant, Dearborn, MI & Chihuahua, Mexico. She loved her family, cooking, music & Scrabble. She was a wordsmith. But mostly, she loved Jesus. Flawed, she never quite understood how or why Jesus loved her….. and yet she KNEW that He did! Jesus was her music (Christine Wyrtzen) & it was through His eyes of love that He welcomed her into Heaven.

Survivors include her three children Lisa Myers, Amy Hunter (Andy Reaman) and her estranged son, Derek Hunter, whom she loved dearly & missed deeply; her eight grandchildren
Nick, Matt, AJ, Blake, Katie, Alex, Gracie and Alana; her two great-grandchildren Scarlett and Atlas; her four sisters Rosetta Scales, NM, Martha (Marty) Miller, FL, Lila Beers, Wapakoneta, OH and Jacque (Eddie) Webb, FL.

She was preceded in death by four sisters Lavonne (Marvin) Katter, Jeanne Chiles, Betty Lou (John) Snider and Mary Ellen (Gene) Barnes; two brothers-in-law, Gene Scales and Charlie Beers; and very recently, her best friend, Zeke (The Big White Dog on the Corner)

There will be no visitation and Celebration of Life Service to honor Elaine will be held at a later date.
