Charlotte Lorraine Engle, 80, died July 20, 2021. She was born June 28, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Raymond and Harriett McCarty Decker. She married Joseph Engle on September 1, 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and a son, Jason Roy Engle.

Charlotte is survived by two sons, Joseph (Anne) Engle of Hilliard and Jeffrey (Melissa) Engle of Lima; four grandchildren, Jason, Abigail, Lauren and Brice.

Also surviving are brothers and sisters in law Thomas and Francia Engle of Wapakoneta; Robert and Margaret Engle of Washington C.H., Ohio; David and Susanne of Pickerington, Ohio; Emma Dunn of Lowell, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Engle worked in various accounting offices throughout her life and retired from Allen County Children Services.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Jonah Ukiwe for his years of continued care and St. Rita’s Hospice for their services.

A private celebration will be held at a later date with family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation or The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

Services are being handled through Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services.
