Charles “Chuck” E. Faulder, 85 of Harrod, passed away February 10, 2019, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. Chuck was born August 30, 1933 in Shelby County, OH to LaVerne and Nettie (Miller) Faulder, who preceded him in death. On December 14, 1956 he married Donna (Thrush) Faulder, who survives him in Harrod.
Chuck graduated from Jackson Center High School and immediately joined the Air Force and served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of Faulder Sales and Service, the Treasurer of the Allen County Fair Board for 30 years and the Fiscal Officer for Auglaize Township for 30 years. Chuck had an avid passion for volunteering at Lima Memorial; they were his hospital family. He was a proud Mason and was associated with the Shriners. Chuck was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church since 1966 and in 2014, Chuck had the opportunity to go on the Honor Flight.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Danny Faulder of Harrod, Randy (Cheryl) Faulder of Harrod and Joy (Scott) Ewing of Circleville; daughter-in-law Teresa Faulder; grandchildren, Keri (Trevor) Jones, Kyle (Heather) Faulder, Ashley (Nick) Dellenbaugh, Alisha (Tylor) Mack, Britlynn Faulder, Grace Ewing and Gavin Ewing and his 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his son, Kendall Faulder and his siblings, Ralph, Robert and Patty.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Rev. Todd Cosart to officiate the service. Burial will be in Salem Westminster Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the funeral home.
