Charis Yvonne (Coolidge) Hilty, 73 of Greenville, IN, passed away July 6, 2022, at 10:19 pm at Baptist Health Floyd.

Charis was born July 10, 1948 in Lima to James and Koneta (Patterson) Coolidge, who preceded her in death. On December 31, 1966, she married the love of her life, Paul Hilty, who survives her in Greenville, IN.

Charis attended Allen East High School and owned and operated Mrs. C’s Embroidery. She enjoyed crafting, especially embroidery and she was a member of Rainbows in Lima. Many years ago, Charis was the manager of Pizza Hut in Wahiawa, Hawaii, a dental assistant and a vet assistant. She loved all animals and dogs were near and dear to her heart. Charis will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her husband, Charis is survived by her daughters, Wendi G. (Curtis) Brown of Ramsey, IN and Tamaron H. (John) Harsh of Delaware, OH; grandchildren, Calvin Harsh, Angelique Harsh, Joseph Harsh, Tabitha Harsh and Roman Brown; step-grandchildren, Kristina (Cory Haun) Brown and Shawn (Kimberli) Brown; great-grandson, Winston Harsh; step-great-grandchildren, Hunter and Colt Brown and Jolene and Carlie Haun; brothers, Donald (Margaret) Coolidge of Marion, Jerry (Cheryl) Coolidge of Marion and James (Cindy) Coolidge of Lima; sister, Beverly (Mike) Ridneour of Waynesfield.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Paul Hilty.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – EASTSIDE CHAPEL with Rev. David Burkhart to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Salem Westminster Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
