Carolyn F. (Dye) Mayer, 76, passed away on January 26, 2021, at 12:40 am, Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born August 22, 1944 in Lima, OH, to Jerry and Gladys (Light) Dye who both preceded her in death. On September 3, 1960 she married Delbert Mayer who survives in Lima, OH.
Carolyn attended Perry High School. She worked at Mid American Cleaning for numerous years. Carolyn and her husband enjoyed spending time in their bowling league. Some of her hobbies included playing bingo, gardening and playing various board games. She absolutely loved her family dearly. She cherished her husband Delbert and loved her children and grandchildren very much. After losing her daughter Theresa, she stayed home and raised her grandchildren, Zachary, Courtney and Kyle.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Delbert J. Mayer of Lima, OH; children, Jeffrey (Jodi) Mayer of Lima, OH, Vicki (Barry) Cohn of Dayton, OH, Ronald (Diane Williams) Mayer of Lima, OH, Kevin (Dawn Greenwood) Mayer of Lima, OH, Dale (Kathryn Hunlock) Mayer of Columbus Grove, OH, Melissa (Kevin Alves) Mayer of Lima, OH, twenty five grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, siblings, Jerry (Shirley) Dye, Jr. of Lima, OH, sister-in-law, Lisa Dye of Lima, OH, brother-in-law, Daniel Thomas of Lima, OH and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Mayer, siblings, Janice (Bill) Roush, Donald Dye, Sr., Cheryl Perkins, Candice (Daniel) Thomas, and Kevin Dye.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 3:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Arnold Wright to officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
