So sorry to hear of Carol's passing. As a co-worker at St. Rita's on both the Psych Unit and Mercy Hall she was a breath of fresh air and ray of sunshine for those in difficult times. She provided me guidance and served as my mentor in how to relate to people. We worked very closely together and once when a patient saw her outside of the hospital she was asked "Where is Dave?" I will always remember the crafts on the Psych Unit and the field trips for a picnic or bowling with the patients. I could tell many stories about Carol but suffice it to say she was very dear to me and critical in my development as a professional and person. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family as you grieve her loss.

My condolences to the Schiffler family on Carol's passing. I met her only a few times years ago, however she had a lasting impact on my life. Thanks to her compassion and support, my father was able to overcome his addiction to alcohol and became a volunteer at Mercy Hall helping others to establish and maintain sobriety - one day at a time. I'll keep her and all of you in my thoughts.

Carol was such a gift to the staff and patients at St. Rita's. Her joy was contagious and made dealing with the difficulties of addiction bearable. I am so grateful to have worked with her. May God bless and console you and hold you.

John & Family, Don & Linda: So sorry for your loss. Carol was quite a gal. She has a whole new audience for her stories. As you grieve, the heavens are roaring with laughter. We have fond memories of the fun time with the Lima group in Fort Myers. God be with you as you go through this difficult time.
