Carol Jean (Kelly) Ream, age 70, went to her heavenly home at 6:03 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by her adoring family.
Carol was born May 18, 1951 in Lima, Ohio to the late William and Marilyn (Bryan) Kelly.
Carol was a 1969 graduate of Lima Senior High School. She previously worked at several offices for the Bureaus of Motor Vehicles in and around the Lima area. Carol later retired from Dome’s Nut Shop after 26 years of serving the public in Lima’s Downtown area. She was a beautiful person, inside and out; a free spirit who loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, trips to the beach, crocheting and was an amazing cook. Carol was especially proud of her children and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Angela L. (Dwayne) Jenkins of Hilliard and James A. (Margie) Ream of Westerville; five grandchildren, Brock Jenkins, Cassidy Jenkins, Braden Jenkins, Ayres Ream and Byron Ream; sister, Karla McLeod; sister-in-law, Judy Kelly; best friend, Glenn Dome, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald Ream; brother, William Kelly, brother-in-law, Terry McLeod and her cherished dog, Taz.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, 4:00-600 pm, at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Allen County in Carol’s name, 3606 Elida Road, Lima, OH.
