Carol Anne Craft, age 78, was called into the presence of the Lord at 8:05 pm Monday, December 14, 2020, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Carol was born September 20, 1942 in Leipsic, OH, to the late Darrell and Annis (Neitz) Fultz. On September 17, 1960 she married her high school sweetheart Ronald L. “Ron” Craft.

Carol was a 1960 graduate of Lima Senior High School and received her degree in Early Childhood Education from the Lima Technical College. She worked as the director of the Epworth United Methodist Church Daycare for many years. Carol was an accomplished author and had written and illustrated several children’s books. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was a very active member of the Lima Senior Class of 1960, serving on the class reunion committee. Carol especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and traveling with her beloved husband, Ron. She was a devoted member of the Lima Community Church, Order of the Eastern Star Trinity Chapter #16, where she was a Past Worthy Matron and she was Past-President of the Lima Symphony Women’s Guild.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Ronald L. “Ron” Craft of Lima, son, Darrell Lee (Carol) Craft of Lima; twin daughter, Christyn Dawn Craft of Lima, twin son, Christopher John (Dawn) Craft of Alger; six grandchildren, Seth Galespie, Selah Galespie, Melody Galespie, Cory (Anja) Craft, Travis (Megan) Craft and Jacob (Caitlyn) Logan; one great-grandson, Colton Logan; two sisters, Susan Shields, sister, Mary Grosvener of NC; four brothers-in-law, Michael (Pam ) Craft of Ada, Jerry (Debra ) Craft of Lima, William “Bill” Craft of Lima, Bernard “Jeffery” (Donella ) Craft of Baytown, TX, and a sister-in-law, Linda D. McCullough of Lima.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her in-laws, Bernard M. and Sarah Florence “Flossie” (Williams) Craft; and two brothers-in-law, Walter Craft, and Russell L. Craft.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 20, 2020, at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Dr. Doug Boquist will officiate the service. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm Sunday, December 20, at the funeral home prior to the service.
