Brian D. Ault, 52 of Ft. Jennings, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022, at 2:45 PM at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by his loving family.

Brian was born February 24, 1969 in Lima, to Robert and Patricia (Lotz) Ault; his mother preceded him in death and his father survives him in Lima. On June 3, 1995, he married Jackie (Reed) Ault, who survives him in Ft. Jennings.

Brian was a 1987 graduate of Elida High School and worked at Nickles Bakery for over 30 years. He loved fishing, bowling, softball and was an avid Steelers fan.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a daughter, Ashley (Troy Butts) Brown and a son, Kevin Ault. He has two grandchildren, Serenity Brown, who was the apple of his eye, and Destiny Butts. Brian’s little shadow was always Serenity and they spent many hours together.

Brian is also survived by his siblings, Janice (Doug) Ditto, Bruce Ault, both of Lima and Christine (Claudia Scheetz) Ault of Newark, OH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on January 20, 2022 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor Kevin Hall to officiate the service.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on January 19, 2022 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
