Betty S. Cannon, 73 of Lima, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born June 11, 1947, in Cherokee, AL to Betty R. Boyd, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Arthur Sullivan; two sisters, Martha Davis and Verna Sullivan; and two grandchildren, Gregory Perry and Ravaughn Richardson.

Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 33 years, Ralph W. Cannon; and seven children: Michael Boyd, Carma Richardson, Kim Richardson, Chondra (Lerondrick) Crenshaw and Mia Richardson all of Louisville, KY, Roderick Richardson and Shannon (Darius) Richardson both of Lima; twenty-four grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She retired from Lima Health and Rehab after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of 4th Street Baptist Church. She was an avid BINGO player and playing the lottery. She enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds.

Her funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 4th Street Baptist Church, with Rev. Nathan Madison officiating. Burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Her wake service will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
