Betty A. Jones, 86 of Findlay, formerly of Lima, passed away peacefully January 28, 2023, at The Manor at Greendale in Findlay.

Betty was born September 13, 1936 in Celina, AL, to Porter Talley and Letha (Smith) Gammon, who preceded her in death. On July 1, 1955, she married Roger E. Jones, who preceded her in death on May 1, 1992.

Betty was bartender at the Dog House Bar and most recently worked at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. She was a member of the VFW #1275 Auxiliary and a member of Moose Lodge #199. Betty was an avid sports fan and she especially loved watching NASCAR, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and gardening. Most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Betty is survived by her sons, Randy E. (Sue) Jones, Ronald E. Jones and Roger D. Jones; daughters, Cynthia (Jack) Batchlor and Kathy Swisher; sister-in-law, Ushie Talley and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah L. Roper; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jones; brothers, Jerry Talley and Sonny E. Talley and her sister, Marie Denton.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Chaplain Mark Lovely to officiate the service. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
