Barbara A. Hensley, 94, formerly of Lima, OH, passed away on May 16, 2021, at 5:30 pm, Meadows of Kalida.

Barbara was born June 16, 1926 in Washington, D.C., to Arthur Hopkins and Emma (Storey) Hopkins who both preceded her in death. On January 11, 1947 she married Robert “Bob” Hensley who preceded her in death on February 7, 2021.

Barbara worked at Riggs National Bank in Washington, D.C. and retired from the Huntington Bank in Lima. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple where she was active in the Ladies Missionary Fellowship and taught Sunday School for many years. Barbara was also active in the church’s visitation program. While living in Kalida, in her later years Barbara and her husband Bob proudly became members of Dupont Church of the Brethren in Dupont, Ohio.

Barbara is survived by her children, Steven Robert (Darlene) Hensley of Kalida, OH, Sandra Raye McDonald of Little Rock, AR, Bethany Anne (Willie) Burke of Andersonville, TN, grandchildren, Susan (Tim) Crane of Marysville, OH, Thomas (Joanna) McDonald of Little Rock, AR, step-grandchildren, Eric (Amy) Kleman of SC, Erin (Mike) Kleman Hollenbaugh of Barberton, OH, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby (Bernie) Surette and Henry (Millie) Hopkins.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00am at CHILES – LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Rev. Jerry Burton and Pastor Terry Porter to officiate the service.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, near Dupont, Ohio following the service.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
