Bambi Lynn Naftzger, 59 of Cridersville, passed away June 19, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 27, 1963, in Lima, OH, to Ronnie and Doris (Hooks) Ray who preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Thomas Naftzger, on May 28, 2015, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Nakoa Lynn (Kristopher) Crates of Elida, a stepson, Dakoda Ryan Naftzger of Panama City, FL, grandchildren, Jordan, Korbin, Jessica & Landen Crates; siblings: Cathy (Gary) Smith of Gomer, Tonya (Tom) Sarno of Elida and Jim (Mindy Arellano) Ray of Powell; her stepmother, Jeanne Ray of Lima and nine stepbrothers and stepsisters.
She is preceded in death by her stepfather, John Wall, Sr. and her brother-in-law, Hans Hardgrove, whom she helped care for during his illness.
She was a 1981 graduate of Elida High School. She retired from Honda of America as a production coordinator. She was a spiritual being, reading the Bible everyday. She enjoyed genealogy and gardening, pulling the weeds by the root as her Grandpa Hooks taught her. She was a sports fan of all sorts, being very athletic and by being a member of the Browns Backers, a fan of the Reds, OSU and NASCAR. Her family was very dear to her heart and she loved her dogs, Buffy & Sidney.
Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the funeral home with Fr. David Ross officiating. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery following the service.
