Arline E. Miller, 98, peacefully left this earth with her children at her side at 2:27 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her home.

She was born on November 23, 1923, near Lima to the late Clay and Audrey (Franklin) Warner.

She attanded grade school at Lima Perry and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1942. Arline was a former member of Hartford Christian Union Church and was a member of Lima Community Church.

Arline married Wayne Norwood Miller on April 2, 1948, who preceded her in death on March 10, 1991.

Arline and Wayne raised four children on a farm near Spencerville, Ohio, before moving to Lima. She is survived by her children Marc (Alex) Miller of Phoenix, AZ, Virginia (Dan) Britsch of Columbus Grove, OH, Ruth (Keith) Paff of Lima and David (Christine) Miller of Sacramento, CA. She has thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister Jane (Jack) Duhon; a special nephew Rick (Donita) Warner; a special niece Wanda (Dennis) Newland and many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention.

In addition to Arline’s parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers Merrill (Roweena) Warner, Ray (Rae) Warner, Roy (June) Warner and Jim (Kay) Warner; three sisters Bea (Don) Sawmiller, LaDonna (Bill) Davis, and Reva (Earl) McKanna. Sisters-In-Law Opal Cunningham and Maxine (Bill) Coolidge; Brothers-In-Law Jim Miller and Harley (Lilly) Miller.

Before marriage, Arline worked at the NYA making clothes for orphanages, the Lima Cigar Factory and Sears downtown, where she met Wayne. After marriage, Arline not only raised four children, she worked side by side with Wayne on the family farm.

Arline enjoyed needlework, playing Mexican Train Dominos, was an avid reader and she loved her game shows.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of her son, David Miller, at a later date and will be officiated by her son-in-law Pastor Keith Paff.

The family would like to thank her wonderful staff and caregivers with Intrim Hospice, Virgi Ulmer, Carissa Sandlin and Susie Carter, along with her grandson David Nieman.
