April Michelle (May) Hardy, 54, passed away on Sept. 17, 2021, at the Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

She was born July 20, 1967, in Lima, Ohio to Teresa A. (Coby-May) Fuhrman and John R. May.

April was a graduate of Elida High School in 1985. She married Terry Hardy on March 22, 1986. April worked in the Financial and Mortgage Industry for 20 years. She was a former member of the Art Space board and an Allen Lima Leadership alumnus. April owned AMH Designs and Baskets by April. She loved to bake and entertain friends and family. April loved to visit Disney World and spoil her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her husband: Terry Hardy of Bunker Hill, W.V.; one son, Jonathan Hardy of Columbus; her grandmother, Marjorie L. Coby of Lima; her mother, Teresa (Bruce) Fuhrman of Lima; two sisters: Tammi (Harry) Larschied of Lima and Kristi (Michael) Orchard of Jacksonville, Fl.; a stepsister, Kymbrly (Denny) Gallagher of Lima; a stepbrother, Brian (Tara) Fuhrman of Lima and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES – SHAWNEE CHAPEL with Pastor Terri Vonderau to officiate. A live stream of the funeral will be available on the Chiles-Laman Facebook page for those who are not able to attend the service.

Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the funeral home.
