We watched the beautiful service honoring Anne's life. We have grown to known Anne through our church community here in Bluffton. There were so many times where I was reminded of my mother Lila Penner Neufeld. Anne and my mom had a great deal in common. Both supported husbands in ministry, lived and knew the communities of Mt. Lake and Omaha Nebraska, and loved music. At one point my Mom was thinking of moving to Bluffton and she said, " Anne and I could be friends." Anne's gentle spirit and kind heart will be remembered. Thanks for letting us share the memories today.

A special remembrance for me are Anne's crocheted(?) doily set so many years ago that I still use. I always enjoyed the visits we shared on her trips to Waterloo, Ontario. May kindness always be the way forward. Mush and Larry

Thank you to all of Anne's family for sharing her with us these past dozen years. We retired and came back to Bluffton at the same time that Anne came to Maple Crest. We were fortunate to be in a First Mennonite Church small group with her that met monthly until the pandemic restrictions. She shared much about many of you and about the amazing things she did during this time, such as the trip to Berlin and more recently to California. She was one of the strongest and caring people we knew, despite the recent frailties. We will miss her.

I am gladdened to hear how connected Anne was to her close family, even so close to the end. I am glad also that she passed with Mary Anne singing to her, as Ellis did with his children. ? ?

John and I 'attended' the service today and appreciated the tributes to Anne. She was the one who listened to the tone of my voice indicating my college choice and raised the possibility of another option in Goshen Indiana, a college with which I was unfamiliar. And the trajectory of my life changed. And no one mentioned her singing in a women's barbershop quartet that reunited after retirement years. She was skilled at asking open ended questions and listening; love and caring were behind her curiosity about each person. May you continue to remember wonderful times with her.

I met Anne shortly after both of us moved to Bluffton, and we sang our alto parts together in choir for years. We learned that she and Harold had hosted my father when he was a young man in Basel, Switzerland. She was so gracious and kind, and I grew to love her. She expressed much gratitude for having made the decision to move to Bluffton, and for the faith home that First Mennonite Church became for her. I will miss her greatly.

So many beautiful memories with the Buller family at our big extended family reunions. I remember how beautiful the night sky was out in the country, the kittens, Anne's kindness and gentle spirit. It was obvious from knowing Anne and Harold what wonderful special people they both were. I am thankful to have known both of them and have them in my family.

We got to know Anne when she moved to Bluffton, and soon discovered what a gentle, warm spirit she was. It was always a gift to talk with her after church, to catch up on our shared friends and hear about her children and her sister Jean. We'll miss her greatly.
