AnnaMae Spallinger, age 89, was called into the presence of the Lord at 5:10 pm Wednesday, May 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

AnnaMae was born February 20, 1932 in Haskins, OH, to the late Edward and Irene (Huebner) Stump. On July 1, 1951she married her high school sweetheart, Donald D. Spallinger who preceded her in death on October 14, 2014, after 63 wonderful years of marriage.

AnnaMae was a 1950 graduate of LaFayette Jackson High School. She worked in the family business, Stump’s Home Appliance and Hardware in LaFayette until its closing. She also, previously worked at The Wishing Well at Ohio Northern University. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who’s greatest joy was her family. She especially enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities. She loved to entertain, shop, play cards and dance, when there was music she was dancing. She and Donald enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Wildwood, Florida. AnnaMae was a member of South Side Christian Church.

She is survived by her four children, Pat (Tom) Ekleberry of Lakeview, Pam (Mike) Swaney of LaFayette, Scott (Kay) Spallinger of Wapakoneta and Amy Braunwarth of Cridersville; thirteen grandchildren, Heidi (Jonathan) Littler, Nichole Musselman, Megan Martin, Mark (Jalon) Martin, Lisa Bates, Mark (Jess) Ekleberry, Michelle (Josh) Kirian, Doug Swaney, Brad Swaney, Heather (Tony) Daley, Brian (Kristen) Spallinger, Kathryn (Davis) Braunwarth, Scott (Emily) Braunwarth; twenty three great-grandchildren, Gaerid, Aerianna and Draek Littler, Abby and Ashlyn Musselman, Hannah and Emme Hopple, Blake and Jace Martin, Austin Bates, TimothyToppee, Kylan and Brice Ekleberry, Riley and Teagan Kirian, Ava, Brooke and Nora Swaney, Marissa and Makenna Daley, Zackary, Cameron and Andrew Spallinger; sister, Debbie (Denny) Johnson of Sidney and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Henry Stump.

Funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm Monday, May 10, 2021, at South Side Christian Church, 3300 S. Side Dr., Lima, Ohio 45807.

Pastor Todd Cosart will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday, May 10, prior to the service at the church.
