Anita M. Cunningham, age 74, of Melrose and formerly of Lima, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 6:57 p.m., at the Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center.

She was born March 12, 1948 in Allen County, OH, to Donald and Colleen (Griffith) Staver who preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children: Chuck (Renee) Cunningham and Angela Cunningham both of Lima; grandchildren: Steven (Madelene) Benefield of Markle, IN, Brittany Cunningham of Lima, Nicholas Cunningham of Boston, MA, Zoey Wurgess of Columbus and Mylo Stoddard of Lima; great-grandchildren: Lance Benefield, Luna Benefield and Artie Benefield all of Markle, IN; and siblings: Tracy (Anne) Staver of Middletown, OH, Sherry Best and Michele (Bill) Jordan both of Lima.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Don Owen Staver.

When she was young, she worked with her parents at their hardware and printing stores. She worked in many restaurants, North Middle School cafeteria and a few summers cooking for Boy Scouts of America. She enjoyed fishing, being on the water and her cats and dogs, especially her poodles. She also loved Christmas, especially watching “White Christmas”.

Her visitation will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 3-7 p.m. at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral Cremation Services.
