Adrene Marie Pellegrini age 84 of Lima, passed away Dec 17, 2020, at 2:55 a.m. at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
Adrene was born Apr. 10, 1936 in Ironwood, MI, to Axel and Caroline (Cornolo) Wick who preceded her in death. On October 13, 1956 she married John Louis Pellegrini who survives.
Also surviving are their children: Christine Bickel, John (Kim) Pellegrini, Jr., Laura Taylor, Mary Watkins, Dante (Dovie) Pellegrini all of Lima, Lisa (Scott) Newcomer of New Knoxville, Anthony “Tony” Pellegrini, Peter (Shellie) Pellegrini and Paul (April) Pellegrini of Lima; twenty-one grandchildren: Grant, Ben, Donnie, Katie, Drewster, Johnny, Joey, John Paul, Anthony, Joshua, Amy, Angela, Dante, Sara, Jacob, Lacy, Zack, Troy, Mindy, Trevor and Heather; and nineteen great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Norman (Diane) Wick of Two Rivers, WI, Gary (Connie) Spooner of Comfort, TX, Coral (Kenneth-d) Clement of Columbus, OH.
Adrene was a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima, where she served as a lector. She worked in the cafeteria and library at St. John’s School. She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul Society and was a founding member of the Lima Area Food Bank (now known as West Ohio Food Bank). She also volunteered at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed crocheting and assembling puzzles. Her main hobby was loving her grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 at St. John’s Catholic Church, with Fr. David Ross to officiate the service. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery following the service. Her visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday at the Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services. A parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home Monday.
