Wynn A. Reese, age 62, went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2017, at 8:24 pm, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center. Wynn was born August 12, 1955 in Lima, OH, to Donald A. and Carolyn M. (Lotz) Reese who preceded him in death. On July 12, 1975 he married Jane A. (LaVallee) Reese who survives in Lima.
Wynn was a 1973 graduate of Allen East High School. After high school he began working in the trucking industry where he had worked for 40 plus years with several various trucking companies where he wore many different hats. Wynn was a current member of the Rousculp Church of Christ. He had served in many various leadership roles with different congregations through the years. He was a member of the Lima Bean Barbershop Chorus for 18 years where he was the current president and also a past board member at large. Wynn loved to sing and was involved with many different singing groups in and around the Lima area. He was also very proud to be part of a gospel quartet with his oldest son. He loved playing cards, golfing, bowling and most of all spending time with his family. Wynn will be remembered for being a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather and above all else, his “witty humor”.
In addition to his wife, Wynn is survived by his children: Scott A. (Clarissa) Reese of Kokomo, IN, Bob A. (Melanie) Reese of Lima and Alicia A. Reese of Harrod, 6 grandchildren: Nicole, Emily, Taylor, Shawn, Morgan and Isaac Reese, a sister, JoAnna (Don) Lowther of Castalia, OH and 2 brothers: Kevin (Ann) Reese and Dennis (Denise) Reese both of Lima.
There will be a funeral service held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kenny Rader. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and then on Tuesday from 9-10 am all at the Shawnee Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Bean Barbershop Chorus. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com
