Rollie “Cris” C. Craig, age 68, passed away December 5, 2017, at 1:02 pm, at the Lima Memorial Health System E.R.. Cris was born April 27, 1949 in Lima, OH, to Rollie G. and Donna J. (Dahlke) Craig who preceded him in death. On July 30, 1988 he married R.Jeanine (Neal) Craig who survives in Lima.
Cris was a 1968 graduate of Bath High School. He had worked for 30 years as an assembler and then in the tool crib with the Lima Ford Engine Plant from which he retired in 2003. Cris was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church where he was very active and he loved the fellowship he had with his church family. He was also a member of the N.R.A. He loved to garden and was proud of being a cheerleader for all of his grandchildren’s activities. He was a very loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Cris is survived by his children: Melissa Fagan of Lima, OH, Tracy (Brian) Richardson of Harrod, OH, Shannon (Jarrod) Polser of Lima, OH and Kristin Carruthers of Englewood, OH, a step-son, Michael (Terri) Jackson of Ingram, KY, a step-daughter, Teraca (Scott) Neal of Lima, OH, 21 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 sisters: Pamela (Marv) Goldstein of Richmond Heights, OH, Linda D. Hooks of Lima, OH, Kayla J. Northup of Lima, OH and Rhonda J. (Tom) Mattiuzzo of Flint, MI, 3 brothers in-law, Wally (Jill) Neal of Lima, OH, Randy (Judy) Wagner of Wapakoneta, OH and Ron (Angie) Wagner of Lima, OH and 2 sisters in-law, Sharon (Michael) Thompson of Harrod, OH and Cindy Wagner of Lima, OH and his mother and father in-law, Rowena and Jr. Neal of Alger, OH.. He was preceded in death by his previous spouse, Linda M. Craig, a brother, Gerald Craig and a brother in-law, Joe Hooks.
There will be a funeral service held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Lima Missionary Baptist Church @ 3085 Yoder Rd., Lima, OH 45806. Officiating the service will be Rev. Terry Brock. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and then from 10-11 am on Saturday all at the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com
