Charles J. “Chuck” Prange, 90 of Cridersville, passed away March 6, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Chuck was born December 1, 1927 in Crockett’s Bluff, AR to Adolph and Edna (Burroughs) Prange, who preceded him in death. On September 18, 1949 he married JoAnn (Krumland) Prange who survives him in Cridersville.
Chuck graduated from Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles, CA. He was a proud Navy veteran who served in the Marshall Islands during WWII. Chuck was the owner and operator of Sewer Rodding Equipment Co. (SRECO) for many years until he retired. He was the past president of Lima Noon Sertoma Club and an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Chuck loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Chris (Lou) Seddelmeyer of Lima, Lorie (Don) Boehme-Wright of Indian Lake, OH and Terrie Jo (Mike) Rehmert of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Andrew (Julie) Seddelmeyer of Culver, IN, Joseph (Heather) Seddelmeyer of Lima, Brady (Jen) Seddelmeyer of Washington Court House, OH, Amanda (Geoff) Robinson of Oxford, OH, Valerie (Dan) Wills of Pataskala, OH, Benjamin (Kate) Boehme of Westminster, CO, Geoffrey Boehme of Cincinnati, OH, Major Phillip (Hannah) Rehmert of Ellsworth AFB, SD, Thomas (Andrea) Rehmert of Tuscaloosa, AL and Leah (Sean) Wenderoth of Loveland, OH; great-grandchildren, Drew, Kamm, Reid and Wade Seddelmeyer, Quincy, Dublin and McKinley Seddelmeyer, Kase Seddelmeyer, Charley Grace Robinson, Ethan and Brynn Wills and Cameron and Melanie Rehmert; brother, Hal (Barbara) Prange of Orange, CA; sister Bettye (Don) Howard of San Marcos, CA and former son-in-law, Charles Boehme of Lakeside Park, KY.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, James, Joseph and David Prange and his sisters, Lois DeLand May and Ruth DeLand.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2120 Lakewood Ave., Lima, OH 45805 with Rev. Michael Phillips to officiate the services. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors being performed by Active Navy and VFW #1275.
Friends may call from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at noon at the church.

Box 19970, Cincinnati OH 45219-0970. Charles’ brain and spinal cord were donated to the Center to assist in finding new treatments for those suffering from this terrible disease.
