H. Robert 'Bob' Laman, president, funeral director, and certified crematory operator has been with Chiles – Laman since 1970. He and his wife, Ginny, have two daughters, Lisa (Jack) Rigali, and Laura and one granddaughter, Isabella Rigali. Bob graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1973 and from the Northwestern Business College in 1975. He received his funeral director license in 1989. Bob is a member and past president current board member of the Lima Noon Optimist Club, where he is also treasurer of their Foundation. A member and golfer with B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 54 and the service club league. Bob bowls with the Independent Bowling League. Professionally, Bob belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and NFDA. Bob and his family attend First Baptist Church, where he is a trustee. |

Donald S. 'Don' Chiles; executive vice president, and funeral director/embalmer, has been with Chiles – Laman for over fifty years. He and his wife, Betty, have four sons, Jerry (Sue), Jay, Scott (Tammy), and Michael (Cheryl); a daughter, Donna Sue (David) Peters; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. In 1950, he graduated from Lima Central High School, and attended Ohio Northern University. Don graduated summa cum laude from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1960, and became licensed in 1961. Don is a member of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse; member, American Legion Post 96 of Lima; former member of Lima Rotary Club and professionally belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. Don and his family attend First Baptist Church. |

James R. 'Jim' Chiles, a funeral director/embalmer, has been with Chiles – Laman for over forty years. Jim and his wife, Betsy, have three daughters, Bethany (Scott) Torbet, Catherine (David) Fisher, and Stephanie (Philip) Beauvais; and eight grandchildren. In 1958, Jim graduated from Lima Senior High School; and he attended Wittenberg University, Springfield. In 1963, Jim graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and became licensed in 1964. Jim is a member of the Lima Rotary Club; a member of Shawnee Country Club; and is a member of Lima Allen County Visionaries. Professionally, Jim belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. Jim and his wife are members of First Baptist Church. |

Gordon R. Diller, Secretary/Treasurer, funeral director/embalmer and certified crematory operator, is manager of our Bluffton Chapel, and has been with Chiles – Laman since 1986. Gordon and his wife, Jodi, have three daughters, Erin (Ryan) Suderman, Sarah, and Elizabeth. He graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School in 1969, and attended Bluffton College. Gordon then spent four years serving in the United States Navy. He then graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1977, and became licensed in 1978. Gordon sings in the Bluffton Choral Society and Riley Creek Players; and is a member of the Bluffton Lions Club. Professionally, he is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. Gordon and his family are members of the Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora, where he is also in the choir. |

Gerald D. 'Gary' Kill; Operations supervisor, funeral director/embalmer and certified crematory operator, has been with Chiles – Laman since 1994. Gary and his wife, Tammy, have five sons, Jordan, Andy, Harrison, Samuel, and Gary; and three daughters, Hope, Faith, and Joy. Gary was a 1989 graduate of Spencerville High School, and attended the Ohio State University, Lima and Lima Technical College, before graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1993. Previously, Gary had been a member of the Lima Kiwanis Club, for fifteen years, and had served on their Board of Directors. Professionally, Gary belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and is a certified eye enucleator with the Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank. He and his family are members of Restoration Temple Church. |

Robert P. 'Rob' Brown, a funeral director/embalmer and certified crematory operator, has been with Chiles – Laman since 1997. He and his wife, Denise, have a son, Alan Hankinson. In 1988, Rob graduated from New Lexington High School, New Lexington, OH; and attended Ohio University. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1993, and became licensed in 1994. Rob is a member and past president of the Lima Kiwanis Club; member and past master of Fort Amanda Lodge #706 Free and Accepted Masons; member and past high priest of the Lima Chapter #49 Royal Arch Masons; member and past illustrious master of council #20 Royal & Select Masons; and member and current Commander and past Commander of Shawnee Commandery #14 Knights Templer; 32nd degree Mason Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; member of Knights of Columbus council #2661 of Lima. Professionally, Rob is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, and is a certified eye enucleator with the Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank. Rob and his family attend St. Charles Catholic Church. |

Jon Kinn, a funeral director/embalmer and certified crematory operator, has been with Chiles – Laman since 1991. He and his wife, Mandy, live in Bluffton. In 1993, Jon graduated from Bluffton High School, and in 1997, he graduated from Bluffton College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing/Management). Then, in 1998, Jon graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and he became licensed in 2000. Jon is the Fire Chief of the Bluffton Fire Department and professionally belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, where he is a member of their convention committee. Jon and Mandy are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Scott R. Chiles; a funeral director/embalmer and certified crematory operator, rejoined Chiles – Laman in July 2008. Scott and his wife, Tammy, have two sons, Nicholas (Jennifer) Chiles, and Ryan Moore; a daughter, Krista Moore; and three grandchildren, Mason Chiles, Daylen Moore, Miley Chiles. Scott graduated from Lima Senior High School in 1969, and received an associate’s degree in fine arts from The Ohio State University, Lima in 1980. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1983, and became licensed in 1984. He is a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 96; the Fraternal Order of Orioles, Nest 173; and professionally, belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. Jennifer M. 'Jenn' Schlosser; a funeral director/embalmer and certified crematory, started volunteering with Chiles – Laman during high school, and has been full-time since July 2007. Jenn and her husband, Brian, live in Wapakoneta with his son, Johnathon. Jenn is a 2004 graduate of Lima Central Catholic, and attended Southern Illinois University. Jenn graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2007, and became licensed in 2009. She is a member of the Lima Noon Sertoma Club, and professionally, belongs to the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. She and her family attend St. Charles Catholic Church.

Kathy Alspach, office manager, began working with Chiles – Laman since 2002. She has a daughter, Teresa (Keith) Mefferd; a son, Wayne Dooley; and three grandchildren, Derrick and Matt Mefferd, and Cheyenne Dooley. Kathy is a member of the Senior Citizens; the V.F.W., Post 1275 Ladies Auxiliary; the American Legion, Post 96 Women’s Auxiliary; the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 370; and the B.P.O. Elks Club, Lodge 54. She is a member of Westside United Methodist Church. |

Michael J. McKowen; business manager, has been with Chiles – Laman since May 2003, following his retirement after 29 years as vice president and a commercial banking officer with Bank One. Michael and his wife, Barbara, have a daughter, Christina (Kevin) Malpass; and three grandsons, Evan Michael, Ian Thomas, and Brayden David Malpass. Michael is a 1962 graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School, and had attended Xavier University, and St. Meinrad’s Seminary, Indiana. He then served four years in the United States Navy, serving one year in Viet Nam. In 1974, he graduated from Miami University, Ohio; in 1978, he graduated from Ohio School of Banking, Athens, OH; and in 1980, from Ohio School of Banking, Oxford, OH. Michael is a member of the Lima Rotary Club; the Knights of Columbus, Lima; V.F.W., Post 1275; B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 54; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 370; Cario Sportsman Club; The Safari Club; F.O.P.A., Lima; Muther Kluckers, Lima; and St. Rita’s Medical Center, Development Council. Virginia 'Ann' Miller, an advance funeral planning professional, has been with Chiles – Laman since 2003. She and her husband Mark, have two children, Emilee and Eric; and three grandchildren, Julianne, Ezra, and Sophie Grace. In 1970, Ann graduated from Lima Senior High School, and attended Bob Jones University. She currently holds a Life and Casualty insurance license in the State of Ohio, and is a graduate of various continuing education programs through the Outlook Group. Ann is a member of the Horizon Networking Professional Group. She and her family attend Lima First Assembly of God, where she is active in Women’s Ministries, Coordinator of the Missionette Program, a participant in the music ministry, and a Sunday School teacher. |

Robert 'Bob' Watt, a senior funeral service associate and certified crematory operator, has been with Chiles – Laman since 1981. He and his wife, Bobbie, have a son, Shawn (Michelle); a daughter, Nikki (Mike) Schulte; and six grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa, Aryka, Alexis, Alyson, and Tyler. Bob graduated in 1964 from Bath High School, and attended Northwestern Business College. Bob served four years in the United States Marine Corps during Viet Nam. He is a life member of V.F.W., Post 1275; a member of B.P.O. Elks, Lodge 54; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 370; and a member of the American Legion, Post 330 and the Moose Lodge at Indian Lake.
